  13. WICHITA, Kan. --05/16/94-- Newer Technology has shipped memory modules for the
  14. recently announced Apple PowerBook Duo 280 and 280c, as well as the new
  15. PowerBook 520, 520c, 540 and 540c. This announcement follows the tradition of
  16. shipping memory modules as new PowerBooks are introduced. Newer Technology's
  17. high density PowerBook memory modules are currently in stock with Newer
  18. Technology dealers and resellers.
  19. Newer Technology memory for the PowerBook Duo 280 and 280c is similar to the
  20. existing line of PowerBook Duo memory modules. Newer Technology offers
  21. upgradeable memory options for all PowerBook Duo computers. Starting with
  22. either a 4MB or 12MB base module, upgrade modules can be added later. The 4MB
  23. base module accepts the 4MB, 8MB or 16MB upgrade module, while the 12MB base
  24. module only accepts the 16MB upgrade for 28MB of additional memory for a total
  25. of up to 32MB of system memory. PowerBook Duo memory upgrade packages are
  26. available in the following sizes: 8MB, 12MB, 20MB and 28MB.
  27. Additionally, the mini Duo docking bars from Newer Technology including the
  28. SCSI, Color and Ethernet MicroDocks, work with the new Duo 280 and 280c.
  29. Newer Technology also offers 4MB, 8MB, 16MB and 32MB memory modules for the
  30. PowerBook 520, 520c, 540 and 540c computers. With Newer's 32MB PowerBook
  31. module, a total of 36MB of system memory is possible in these new PowerBook
  32. computers.
